Time to drag out the rubbers... er, a, well, I mean mucklucks. :-) Be safe - no slippee, no fallee. Really Autumn, lovely picture. Makes the snow look so pretty and actually appealing!
I have no idea. :-) I found it on one of those art sites, just looked so perfect. Gotta go to work (bleah - thought of 10 days straight is no as fun as the thought of 4 days off). Sleep tight, x
OMG Terry...I haven't heard that expression in forever...rubbers...lol My grandmother use to call them that. 10 days straight? OH MAN...that's rough. How long are your days. BTW...what kind of work do you do if you don't mind me asking...
Be safe and remember to catch a few snowflakes on your tongue ;o)
Morning Autumn, So, that white stuff has finally made it across the ocean to you (you know I sent it your way since I am completely sick and tired of it myself). Pretty yes, fun to drive in NO.
BTW, did you get as money inches as the weatherman promsised you last night? (sorry, couldn't resist :))
Does anyone else around here think that Dan looks just like Gary Allan???
the weather man promised you many inches? i would have a good day at work, had this promise been made to me... (no one is going to leave you and the darn weatherman alone, babe!)
and trust a guy from Jersey to go straight for the glass of wine, without beating around the bush, er, you know what i mean....it is a cool and edgy photo, tho, aint it?
well, stick around, Dan, there are plenty of cool visuals between many of this particular set of wacko bloggers...Autumn and TSTerry in particular seem to always manage to home in on some of the most magnificent images to be found, and of course, Tree has created some wild shit just from his imagination, in his own sweet way...and the conversations seem to be pretty colourful too (colorful in American spelling...)
The snow was gone by midday, but I have a feeling it will cover us once again during the night as temperatures fall. Saff, I came over here in the second week of November, so I have been here for a good little while now. Pete, I'm not good with inches, tell me two and I'll probably think that is a whole lot longer than it actually is. :-) About 5 cms I would say is what was laying on all horizontal surfaces this morn as I went out. Christa, feel better, xo Hope for your sake, we've already seen the last of it. Lindsey. :-) Hope all's well over your way, x Dan, fellow-coffee drinker, so nice of you to stop by and leave a nice comment moreover. I thank you kindly and in response to the question posed, no, these pictures have all been taken from elsewhere and posted as a means of creating new comments boxes during an extended period of lacking inspiration. :) Unusual for us to have snow here, so it seems we both are experiencing weather out of the ordinary. Who's Gary Allen? Afternoon, Meg, and happy (let's get this right now...) Wednesday to you. Hope you are having a great day over there across the Atlantic, and thanks so much (not:) for sending the icy weather our way. How'd the basketball game go last night?!! As for the inches, :-D, I wasn't expecting any, so getting some was a very nice surprise. :-) Jillie, I think, Meg knows more about it than I do. :-) Jodes, PS you guys will have to excuse these responses tonight if they are stilted etc, have the worst headache, that sounds absolutely perfect. Terry, you've heard me make the comment of late, I'm sure, that with no posts to speak of, this place is more like a couch where people come and sit for a couple of minutes to say hey, hence the title :-), and yes, I miss the decadent autumn storm too. :-D without beating about the bush Lmao! Can't wait to see the images of which you speak, Lisa - gonna do my rounds in the morning though, including Dan the Man, and sleep off this stupid headache (not that I would care anymore about that than tiredness). Hope all's fabulous and that you haven't been doing any sausage slapping, or should that be hope. :-) Jillie :-D
Jillie, yes, changed it this morning, kind of a tongue in cheek thought at first (thought occured to me a while back, my previous just didn't fit anymore) and today just became the day. :-) Hope you and mom and all are doing okay (and your ears from that turned up television set) - hugs to you, x
You do need to go to bed now. Soothing cool (or warm) washrag for your poor forehead... get some rest and may the sleepfairy carry away all the stress and pain from your head. Hugs xo
so, you've taken the dive and changed the name of your bloggie, eh? (sorry, had to toss in a canadianism there...) i know its hard to get used to changes...we'll be okay, not to worry... as long as you wait just a little while before you change your name from Autumn Storm to Spring Breeze, i think we'll manage...
Hey - happy Thursday Ms. Decadent Autumn Storm... sorry, you won't ever be anything else to us :-)
Sorry today is a WORK day.. bleah.
I'm so happy we met - really. What a privilege. Loved the entire adventure, and looking foward to the next one :-)... so, we need to sit down and start planning. G and I are looking to go to Finland (thanks for the lovely discovery of that awesome Icehotel) and St. Petersburg. Want to come along? :-) OR save up Your vacation time for your trip to the states :-) We will be here whenever it is that you want - can't wait to find out when it will be :-D
Me too, Terry, and though I would happily see you anywhere, I should like to visit you in the Walnut so to speak. What I need to take into account and what stops me from simply booking a return journey is that I would like to travel across the country, to see a little more of it of course, but also to hopefully expand the list on who I have met. Yourself and Justin for example are at opposite ends of the vast land. :-) I'm coming, I can promise you that - I just don't want to say when until I have actual dates. :-D
Lisa :-D Spring breeze indeed, though that does have a fresh, rejuvinating sound to it...no worries, how could I change my name, it's mine, right? :-) I miss my postman in Denmark, very much more friendly than the one I have here. But then here, I also have the newspaper guy and the milkman, so one might say, it evens itself out. :-D
Actually, Kesh, most would say I am the opposite. LOL Maybe I should have called it 'The Chinwag inn', make it sound like some cosy little pub in the lake district of Northern England, complete with fireplace and purple-cushioned chairs. :-) Happy Thursday, x
So happy to hear it's gone with the sunrise. (Since when do you EVER get enough shuteye? :-)
Okay, I'm so there. I didn't get to show G the "pub" experience, and now with C working there, as well as you, he is champing at the bit. You make it sound lovely. Work is never really lovely, but I hope for you that it is bearable. We really didn't hang out in a pub in London, but when I was in Ireland, I was taken with the warmth and comfort of the pubs there. I can only imagine the ones you have in London are similar. Waauuuggghhh, I want to be back there! I want to be with my Love. Rats.....
You know it almost looks like that this morning. Although no snow on the trees but the sun is shining through them and it's SO bright I almost need the sunglasses on to sit in my mom's living room.
I can't believe it's time to go home in two days. I don't know if I am ready to leave...My mom will be moving into a different place the first of April so this means these will be the last time here at "home".
I just don't like having all of these mixed emotions but I know it's good for me to get them out. I just wish my mom would break down but she always has to be the "strong" one and does it on her own and alone. Now I know who I take after...Thank GOD I have all of you guys to support me ;o)
hope all is well on the other side of this big ol' puddle that seperates us.
Glad to hear your headache is gone but by now your probably working on another....get some more sleep girl! You work too hard, but then again what single mum doesn't, right?
I was always going to ask you about you coming to the states...I sure hope you take a jog north when you do arrive :) OR, I am always open for a road trip !
That would be nice, Jillie, we could have a picnic, proper wicker basket and a tartan blanket, real glasses too and every kind of salad, cold chicken and sponge cake. Or Battenburg - do you guys have Battenburg there (Angel cake)? No matter, any type of cake will do. :-)
You mom sounds like a tough cookie, full of character and strength, I can understand though how you would find it hard to leave, 'generally' of course, but especially in light of the above. Without a doubt having you there has been of untold support and perhaps the very reason why she can go it alone. Just knowing you and your brothers are there for her, that you love her, would make even this easier to bear. I know it must be hard not to worry, not to worry even more when you leave, but she knows where you are, just a phonecall away, and as such even if she does as she needs when she is by herself, she won't ever be alone.
Sounds like you will taking many, many good memories of that house (home) away with you and those you will have forever.
Hugs to you, xo
Next time, Terry. One of the 'regrets' I have is that we didn't make it in to one as planned - I guess we were just tired after all that walking around in the hot sun and all the rest of it. When (not if) you do come to London again, even if it is after baby bear has moved on, I shall take you to that one - first and foremost so that you can see where she spent her time, but secondly for the fact that as pubs go, this one has an atmosphere that beats most of the best of them. Hugs back over land, over sea - hope your day of forms and the rest is going smoothly.
Hey Isay - love the new profile pic btw, meant to tell you before now. :-) Cold as it is here, I know, it must be much colder there. Keep warm - love and hugs to you, xo
Me too, Jen, I'd take a week in the caribbean right about now over another week here, but then I would do that any week. ;-) Hope all's well with you.
Morning/Afternoon, Meg - all's good here, thanks, hope the same is true for you. Most certainly, you are on my list, of course you are. This is what I mean, I shall be zig-zagging across the country, vast as it is. :-D Come to Terry's tree and then we can travel back together. :-) Hope you're having a perfect day, if not (or either way rather), it's my turn to have that bottle uncorked, ready and waiting. xo
Oh yes Autumn, I am so ready to unwind with a glass or two...we'll chat away long into the evening until daylight breaks and we realize we hadn't slept yet -
geez, that sounded a little intimate, didn't it?? LOL
I do look so forward to your trip back to the states (as I know there are several of us here that do :)). And Jillie's right that tree at Terry's place would be the perfect spot for some of the HOTTEST bloggers around ~ you, me, Jillie, Terry, Lisa, Jodes and all the other gorgous chickies that grace your space....oh, and Tree we can't forget about him. I suppose one male should be allowed on this girl trip - I mean we do need someone to carry the luggage and play cabana boy, right???? AND, of course read us a goodnight story :)
Ok, now I've probably gotten myself in trouble somewhere along the lines with this one....LOL
OH, and btw - you asked and yes we (she - I always say it like I played too :))won her basketball game the other night. 13-1 for the season so far - kicking some serious butts around here. This Friday night we (they) play the one and only team (again) that beat them so far this season...time for some revenge!!!
hello anybody home :0) just stoppin by to say hey, how are things :0) I'll be sure and pass along my new address at the giggling academy (where I am slowly but surely heading) but wanted to say hey to everyone who's anyone and this seemed to be the place to catch everybody. So since the babbling has already begun LOL I'll just leave it with HI EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that would be the lovely place where the rooms are soft and cushy and they have sedatives on demand LOL don't know which is gonna drive me crazy first, the wedding or my students.
HI TERRY :0) hugs back attcha (and the oh no lady is very appropriate right now LOL)
Trace, it's good to see you, as Terry said. :-D Good to hear that all is well (coining a new term, happy stress) and that things are moving happily towards the big day. Still planning on a summer wedding? I'll bet the girls are very excited, which little girl wouldn't love to be a bridesmaid. :-) Hugs to you, xo
Meg - wooohoooo, that is some score. That competitive attitude obviously pays off. :-D And having you in her cheering section (I can just imagine you jumping up and down and going hoarse from cheering) and sharing in the experience must (so sweet how you refer to it all with 'we's) be such great encouragement to play her baddest too. :-) Best of luck with the ass-kicking. :-D
That picnic sounds like a whole heap of fun to be had (have been craving angel cake ever since I wrote that - haven't had a slice of that in what must be close to 15 years!). If you haven't, go see Terry's post about it - the view promises to be glorious. :-)
Lets see your busy with work, I am suppose to be busy with work - LOL but I am so seriously ready for this weekend to begin. Another busy one (but then, most of mine are)only problem is that its usually all about doing things for others,,,one day it will be ALL ABOUT ME !!!
TRACEY!!!!!!! you keep your ass here, girl, you hear? we miss you too much to let you skittle away this time... (thats MY job anyway!!) TRACEY!!!!! miss you sooo much! hope all's well! at least you have something to go crazy over! enjoy the rush, girlfriend!! did i mention we miss you? hee heeeee! xoxo little old me
The chefs are pure entertainment, Terry. Like I told Billy, my favourite :-), I would stay in that job forever just for him. He is also the one that I have argued with in the past. And I realized today, he and I are quite similar in some ways. It's just a heap of fun being in that kitchen, never a dull moment, and I have to be so careful with what I say. Eg I must remember not to tell him to stick it in, when refering to fish in a pan. LOL Happy Friday - hope you are as good as done on those darn forms. :-)
Happy Friday and weekend, Jillie Bean, and safe and pleasant journey home - see you when you get there, hugs to you.
Happy Friday, Meg - words of advice, ;-), don't put off til tomorrow what you can do today. In other words, make it about you! :-D Have a great one, see ya next week!
Aseem, I'm right here. :-D Has to do with no 'it' for the longest while, just didn't seem right anymore. Hope life is good! Happy weekend, x
Isay, happy weekend to you. I wouldn't bother changing it, as it could change again soon. Hope you are well, and keeping warm over there. :-)
sheeeeees hooommmmme.... just time time to fall in the sack...Really, you must check out Anthony Bourdain's expose book about chefs... it is so funny I'm sure all the chefs in your kitchen would enjoy hearing quotes from it as well.
Forms are far from done - I can feel my butt spreading from sitting in this chair too long...
Still - oh my gosh, counting the hours between the first message and the second, that is 6 hours of sitting! Hope you're done, or just about done. I'll have to locate the book and take a look. :-) Have a great weekend, if I don't see you around, xoxo
The character of the place has changed drastically over the past 25 years. I remember the London of punk rockers, 99 with flakes and pigeons, of the weird and the wonderful, of bathing in the fountains of Trafagar Square. The devide is so much bigger now and there is such a struggle to survive among such a large percentage of the people. Not to put a dampener, but it's perhaps the thing that I have noticed most since coming. There is so much to see and do though - we have the most fabulous art galleries for example. Notting Hill, which is the area in which I grew up is perhaps one of the most charismatic areas outside of central London today. I love the park (Hyde), still, it still has some sort of magical feeling about it. :-) Yes, London has much to offer, you'll absolutely love it here, I'm sure. Millennium Bridge. :-)
I haven't been to Camden in absolute yonks - remember the market well though and far as I know, it hasn't changed all that much. I must go, get myself a couple new hats. :-D I remember from the last time they had one of those rastafarian numbers - I want me one of them.
I've seen the globe, but never been inside either - which is just plain wrong given I have been having a love affair with Shakespeare spanning many years. Part of the reason is to do with authenticity and knowing that it is not even on the original site - though I have no doubt it would be quite the experience and I do intend to have it one day.
i haven't seen snow in the longest time!! *dances about excitedly at the sight of the picture*..
the last time i smelt the snow was about 2 years ago...at Mount BawBaw in Melbourne. then i moved to my native country where it is Summer all year 'round.
Shakespeare!! I too have loved shakespeare for many years!! I've seen quite a few plays and have a bunch of plays on DVD.. the last one I saw was a Japanese production of Titus Andronicus in Stratford during the summer. It was so beautiful Autumn.. I cant describe..
I know what you mean about the authenticity thing but until Star Trek style holodecks (or time travel pods) are invented, this is prbably the closest thing to the globe experiance. I would love to have been there back in the day.. Cheering for King Henry V as he marches across the French feilds or throwing cabages at the despicable Iago.
I think of Hamlet and Macbeth as close friends... I see Othello in the dark side of myself.. I see Lear in my Father, I see Iago in my enemies... Ha!! Yeah, I will stop now!!
Hi! Meg!! No SNOW!! Ah... you wanna know a secret!? I friggin hate snow!! I know that makes me sound miserable and dead inside... but all snow means to me these days is a cold and dangerous journey to work, lots of scallies throwing snowballs and higher heating bills. hehe! Im a miserable old b_stard!!! :-p
Lost my comments last night when I was replying, and had to start again. This morning. Hope everyone had a fabulous Monday.
That you would even try, Meg, is so incredibly sweet. :-) Tomorrow is day 7, so 10 will be coming up real soon and not a moment too soon. I plan to spend at least 24 of those 98 hours right here :-D, catching up on all the posts that I have just not got around to commenting on these past days. So good to hear you had such a nice weekend! PS Great post yesterday, but I am having that issue with your comments box again. So, I'll be patient and keep trying. :-)
Jillie, I was telling you all about a winter coat that I used to own - I won't repeat that part of my comment, it would be even less interesting the second time around. LOL
Welcome home. :-) Hope the journey was pleasant (and the goodbyes tolerable) and that settling back into work was a breeze. xo
I can't describe gives me a better idea than any words you could have written. I haven't watched a production in the longest time, and you are making me want to see what's on. I wonder if M would be completely bored, probably not. In fact, I took her to go see one years ago, when she was about 3 and she was mesmerized.
Othello :-) I could have written the same. I'm pretty boring in the sense that Hamlet is my favourite play, I knew it so well once, I had it practically memorized. The siloquys were a breeze and I used to practice reciting them - this is what I did for enjoyment when I was a teenager. :-D Spot the Eng. Lit. student. I once saw Kenneth Branagh in a production at the Barbican in London, this was without doubt the best of them.
Let me know how you liked the globe, better yet, invite me to go with. :-D Have a great Tuesday, James.
M-S, I'm well behind on my blogreading, but what you wouldn't know is that I do catch up eventually. Where abouts in the world are you now? Tell me and let me dream too of endless summer, which just sounds so very appealing when there is such a icy chill in the air. But I'm with you, I like the changing seasons too much and would miss them dreadfully, if I were without. Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day ahead. :-)
ha! ok, then... I'll check whats on so watch this space.
Yeah, I used to recite Hamlet all the time as well.. I even bought a toy skull from Tesco, to make my Yorik scenes more authentic. I might post a photo of Mr Skull on blogger someday.
Once, when I was in Amsterdam, it was like 1am, I was lost and on my own when this druggy guy tried to mug me and as a bizzare form of self defence I waved my arms in the air and started dramatically shouting the whole "take arms against a sea of troubles" speech. Amazingly I managed to pull it off and scare him away.
ok, I am here again to ask again for a new post!!! Hope all is well, I know not everyone has time for new posts daily but I think it is time my dear....we need another dose of you.
Typical british weather here at the moment, as it always is, in the sense that the only thing one can predict on any given day is that it will be unpredictable. :-) Got your longjohns?
James, what a great story. :-D I can well imagine that was very scary, but what a tale to tell. We do the strangest things in a situation of panic/fear/etc - but this has got to be the most classic turn of events I've ever heard. LOL - I can only imagine what went through this guys mind. :-D
Ooohhhh...isn't that lovely? Is it wrong that we've been cold so long and I want a heat lamp in the middle of that picture? LOL Ok, maybe not. Spring will come through before we know it. Ahhh...spring...puttering in the garden, opening all the windows on a Saturday, men jogging in little shorts and no shirts... Oh sorry, I drifted off there for a minute. LOL You bundle up and keep warm. Hugs and love.
I think it is time for the appearance of warmer weather. REALLY :-D With all this global warming, where is the warmth? Tee hee -nothing but cold everywhere. Did all your snow melt into slushy grubby gray wet stuff?
Countdown started for your days off? Why do they come around so slowly, and then fly by so fast?
LOL Agnes - is that what happens in Dallas? Men jogging in little shorts! I must be in the wrong neighborhood - nobody jogging here - more like just ambling along down the small streets with no sidewalks walking their doggies. Nice picture of warmer weather though :-D
Aggie, we get that here too, but we seem to only have either guys whose ribs are showing or guys who look like they spend every spare moment down the Red Lion.
We are up to about 12 degrees here now, so spring and the warmer weather seems to be on it's way, though I don't really want to think about the garden (it's a mess), I will take that lovely image of joggers without shorts (LOL, leaving that - was a typo), I mean without shirts, but I'm putting those shorts on Quaid and a few others. :-)
Snow didn't stay long enough to get slushy, but it did snow two days in a row. In any case, at least I got to feel it crunch underfoot - though I did not get to throw a ball or lie in it. Next time.
Hopefully there will be a few guys worth picturing in shorts at your new place of work - makes the days that much more pleasant when there are a few of those around.
Thought any more about the Ice Hotel, Terry? Hoping you do go, so you can tell us all about it.
hehe, yes! I knew I had to do something.. and I knew that I had to give it 100% as a half measure wouldnt be fooling anybody.. I was pumped up for like the whole of the next day about that.
That whole adventure was filled with disasters actually... and I STILL managed to have a good time!
Good morning Autumn...thanks for you thoughts. Things did turn out worse than they thought but he is in good hands. He's a tough old bird and he's finally realized he doesn't have the endurance of a 20 year old...
Ahhhh...the wknd is almost here! Have you warmed up at all?
We had rain all day and night and now the sun is shining.
Feb is here. Shortest month of the year, and we just have to be associated with it. Bought a stuffed giraffe at the zoo last week as an early prezzie for myself. Teleported it to you. Have you received it?
Saff, I might take your lead. Hadn't thought of that, giving myself a gift, and there are one or two things that I have been hovering undecided over - to indulge or not to indulge, that is the eternal question. Now, thanks to you, I have occasion and reason. :-)
PS I'm sure it's on it's way. :-D Send me a wishlist too, maybe a lion or a bear to go with.
Hugs to you, hope you have a great rest of the week.
Hope he recovers quicker than anyone can imagine, Jillie, hugs to you.
Do all the dogs and cat get along? Either way, it must be a zoo over there. :-) All's good here thanks, snow's gone (didn't last long) but it's still effin freezing! Take good care of you, in between everyone else. :-), xo
James, Amsterdam was obviously very memorable for a whole host of reasons. :-) This story is one that I know I shall remember always. Have a great Thursday!
Hey Autumn, just checking in to say hi. Love all the pictures... snow reminds me of Canada... beach reminds me of what I'd like to do for the rest of my life starting NOW. Sigh. And, I have been remiss in thanking you for the video collage. A great collection of friends, and was especially flattered to find Tess & I included. Hope you are doing well.
Charles, the two of you had to be there. :-) I've not known you as long as some, nor as well, but I fell for you and that beautiful family of yours via the very first post that I read. Loved the Christmas card btw, just have to tell you that again - real cuties all four. :-)
I've been dreaming of that beach ever since I saw this photograph. Plan to visit in the not too distant future, but as for the rest of life, I'm sighing along with you. :-)
All's good here, thanks for asking - hope the same is true over your way. Take care, x
Hey Girlie, How's it going? Weekend is knocking!!! I've been so crazy busy, but life is good so I don't complain (at the moment anyway - ha ha).
Actually, I think this will be somewhat of a laidback weekend, probably the most since before the holidays. But, I shall not hold my breath as plans can change quickly. Oh, and there is the Super Bowl - big thing over here ya know :)
woo hoo! how's you? hope you're hangin in for your weekend festivities coming sooner and sooner! hope your cold is just a little one and nothing more...xoxo
Wow, now look at that... Mz JJ was 100! That number just looked so nice this a.m. when I saw the number of your posts :-D
Yes, your Thursday is almost done, and mine has only begun. Nice and gray today, overcast, but alas, dry. We are really pushing the drought borderline... I hope we get some rain this month. January went on record in San Francisco as the 8th dryest in recorded history.
and no, i'm not pushing for 200 comments, that was a one time special even if we did get to 300!
i didnt know you guys didnt have any rain...wow, thats so weird for winter there, isnt it...
well, our rain turned into a giant iceberg here, so we're all just little frozen blocks waiting to thaw out here...it happens... i'd take 40 or 50 degrees right now in a heartbeat...brrrrr!
hope your day zooms by Terr!
hey Autumn, you're probably done i hope! havin a beer with Billy? Billy, i love that name! Sarah has a new friend at school she is flirting with named Billy, too! man, he better keep his hands OFF of my kid or i'll make mincemeat out of him...oh sorry, Mama Bear forgot her manners...!
Evening ladies. :-) I've got wine chilling in the fridge, all who want a glass say hey. Meg, I have no doubt by the time Monday rolls around you will have spent the weekend living life to the fullest. :-D Lisa, all I can say is that if he is anything like my Billy, you should be worried. LOL Just kidding, how sweet and beautiful, I hear the gentle musical tones of young love in the making. :-) Terry, if I were to do a raindance over here, do you think I could transport the energy so that the drops land in Cali? Fingers crossed for some gloriously wet, heavy downpours.
Last day tomorrow, thank goodness. I have several things scheduled, sleep, M and more sleep.
woo hooo! one more day, A...! hope you're feeling better.. probably knowing your 4 day break is coming up will make things all right again! ps i think Sarahs Billy IS like your Billy...she said hes in grade 12, for starters, and well, Sarah's in grade 9...she's starting up already! looks like my Karma's comin' back already to bite me in the tushie...funny how that stuff happens...! hey i was a GOOD kid...wasnt i, mom? (how quickly we forget!) hope tomorrow goes by fast for you Autumn..! xoxo
Jillie, there seems to be a handful of blogs that Blogger has messed up the ability to leave a comment and Trebuchet is one of those. Hopefully soon they will fix the problem. If you really need to show me some love, both of my DT sites are up and running and comment capable. :-D
dang, I worked way too hard this week. Hope all is well with you A, I miss catching up with you. You must be just about starting your days off by now, huh?
Have a splendid, slow and relaxing days off and take care of yourself and get some "me" time!!
Meg, gonna wish you the same and put a Woot! at the end of it. :-D Hope you have a great couple of days, knowing you will be out for 2 days plus (and that I have some extra time), I can safely promise that my part of the 'catch-up' will be in your inbox by Monday first thing.
Hope you take your own words of wisdom to heart and have yourself some 'me-time' too.
Take care, talk soon, xo PS Last I checked, I wasn't able to comment again on your blog - admittedly I haven't done the rounds yet today - am so sleepy and knowing I would leave more coherent comments tomorrow, I'm deciding to wait. Fingers crossed, I will have better luck this time, otherwise you know why.
More tiring that work was shopping - nothing more tiring than shopping in my book, am not a fan, but we did have a nice lunch and we got some nice things for her (and M, spoilt thing) so they were happy, which in turn made me happy. :-)
Hope your day is flowing along beautifully, whatever you are up to. And have a ton of fun tomorrow, if I don't speak to you again before then, xo
Closest I have ever been to the equator was Singapore. So many places left to go, this is the most south and east, Wales (almost feel like I wanna blush) is the furthest west. I dream of the African sun, of the Australian outback, of the waterfalls of South America and the beaches of the Caribbean. One of these days... (today I am tired of saying that) :-)
Hope you have a wonderful Sunday, wherever you are. :-)
Hey Autumn, all is well- kind of, it's just been a hellacious beginning of the year. Maybe its been the deep freeze we've been in lately(wind chill in Cleveland has hit as low as -20 degrees), but I truly appreciate your kind words, and please know that I am battling this unusually low mood I am in now.

Perfect!
Time to drag out the rubbers... er, a, well, I mean mucklucks.
:-) Be safe - no slippee, no fallee. Really Autumn, lovely picture. Makes the snow look so pretty and actually appealing!
:-)
I'll try, Terry, though I have no snowboots here. :-)
Getting slushy already as I look out the window. Wish I could walk into that picture instead of along the busy roads to work. :-) Happy days all, xo
oooh, so pretty!
so peaceful...
where's that?
I have no idea. :-) I found it on one of those art sites, just looked so perfect. Gotta go to work (bleah - thought of 10 days straight is no as fun as the thought of 4 days off). Sleep tight, x
This photo is soooo appealing, so inviting I'd wish I could walk right into it and enjoy the peace and tranquility.
Hmm, Autumn, you are in London?
we had about 2" overnight and it's pretty much all gone already!
We had some of that white stuff last night too and it flipped me 180 degrees....geez...haha
It's pretty though, but it hurts.
I have been praying for a snow day here so I don't have to go to work. So far...no luck.
Your very unique profile photo has been catching my eye for some time now! :) So I thought I'd pop in and see what you were up to.
Nice photo. Here in NJ we still haven't gotten any significant snow and by this time last year I believe we had several feet by now.
Did you take the photos in these photos? They're beautiful.
Photos in these photos!
Indeed. Looks like I really need that first cup of coffee.
Photos in these posts, is what I meant to say. :)
That looks SO peacful. You can hear the trees.
OMG Terry...I haven't heard that expression in forever...rubbers...lol
My grandmother use to call them that.
10 days straight? OH MAN...that's rough. How long are your days. BTW...what kind of work do you do if you don't mind me asking...
Be safe and remember to catch a few snowflakes on your tongue ;o)
Morning Autumn,
So, that white stuff has finally made it across the ocean to you (you know I sent it your way since I am completely sick and tired of it myself). Pretty yes, fun to drive in NO.
BTW, did you get as money inches as the weatherman promsised you last night? (sorry, couldn't resist :))
Does anyone else around here think that Dan looks just like Gary Allan???
:)
Must start this day.......
Meg
OHHHHHHH - and very lovely pic Autumn!!!!
Autumn...is there something going on with you and the weather man? Is he giving you "inches"?
Had to laugh at the comment Meg made....TOO FUNNY!!!
that is a great pic, I want to be on that bridge with a hot cup of joe and all bundled up just standing there staring at the beauty.
BTW Autumn, why did you change the name of your blog? I'm not completely sure it applies. I miss your title...
Inches? You didn't tell me about this new development... ha ha ha ha.
Jillie, thank you for redeeming me.. Ms. Autumn had never heard that expression before... other than another thing entirely... :-)
the weather man
promised you many inches?
i would have a good day
at work, had this promise
been made to me...
(no one is going to leave
you and the darn weatherman
alone, babe!)
and trust a guy from Jersey
to go straight for the glass of
wine, without beating around
the bush, er, you know what
i mean....it is a cool and
edgy photo, tho, aint it?
well, stick around, Dan,
there are plenty of cool
visuals between many of
this particular set of
wacko bloggers...Autumn
and TSTerry in particular seem
to always manage to home in
on some of the most magnificent
images to be found, and of
course, Tree has created
some wild shit just from his
imagination, in his own
sweet way...and the conversations
seem to be pretty colourful
too (colorful in American
spelling...)
oooh, just caught
some gorgeous images
on Dan & Laura's photo
blog thingy...!
LOL...that would make for some total confusion...
Picture this...
Honey...are you wearing your rubbers? Could you see the look on his face? Ummm...how many would you like me to wear?
Ok...I'll quit...I think I've had too much caffeine or else it's the fumes from all of the cleaning products I've been inhaling.
Any yes, Autumn...Javajazz is right...you are going to be hearing about those inches for a long time ;o)
I just noticed after reading Terry's blog...you changed to title of your blog...
Lindsey. :-) Hope all's well over your way, x
Dan, fellow-coffee drinker, so nice of you to stop by and leave a nice comment moreover.
Jillie, I think, Meg knows more about it than I do. :-)
Jodes,
PS you guys will have to excuse these responses tonight if they are stilted etc, have the worst headache,
that sounds absolutely perfect.
Terry, you've heard me make the comment of late, I'm sure, that with no posts to speak of, this place is more like a couch where people come and sit for a couple of minutes to say hey, hence the title :-), and yes, I miss the decadent autumn storm too. :-D
without beating about the bush Lmao! :-)
Jillie :-D
Jillie, yes, changed it this morning, kind of a tongue in cheek thought at first (thought occured to me a while back, my previous just didn't fit anymore) and today just became the day. :-) Hope you and mom and all are doing okay (and your ears from that turned up television set) - hugs to you, x
You do need to go to bed now. Soothing cool (or warm) washrag for your poor forehead... get some rest and may the sleepfairy carry away all the stress and pain from your head. Hugs xo
that looks like a lil bridge in Heaven. Simply magical!
So ur a chatterbox now Autumn? LOL cute!
Keshi.
if you're not that
good with inches, A,
then i'd seriously
consider avoiding
the weatherman...
(however, i've
heard it said,
the postman
always rings twice...)
so, you've taken
the dive and changed
the name of your bloggie,
eh? (sorry, had to toss
in a canadianism there...)
i know its hard to get
used to changes...we'll
be okay, not to worry...
as long as you wait just
a little while before you
change your name from
Autumn Storm
to Spring Breeze,
i think we'll manage...
I'm coming, I can promise you that - I just don't want to say when until I have actual dates. :-D
Happy dreaming, x
Lisa :-D
Spring breeze indeed, though that does have a fresh, rejuvinating sound to it...no worries, how could I change my name, it's mine, right? :-) I miss my postman in Denmark, very much more friendly than the one I have here. But then here, I also have the newspaper guy and the milkman, so one might say, it evens itself out. :-D
Actually, Kesh, most would say I am the opposite. LOL Maybe I should have called it 'The Chinwag inn', make it sound like some cosy little pub in the lake district of Northern England, complete with fireplace and purple-cushioned chairs. :-) Happy Thursday, x
No worries, Terry, thanks though. :-) All gone, probably just hadn't had enough shut-eye of late.
Rats.....
lovely picture! the sun is shining over here after 2 weeks of stormy weather and three days of really very cold weather.
best regards
yeah abut 5cm would be about 2 inches i guess
I like the snow, but only if it's every once in a while. I like warm and hot weather.
Good Thursday Morning A ~
hope all is well on the other side of this big ol' puddle that seperates us.
Glad to hear your headache is gone but by now your probably working on another....get some more sleep girl! You work too hard, but then again what single mum doesn't, right?
I was always going to ask you about you coming to the states...I sure hope you take a jog north when you do arrive :) OR, I am always open for a road trip !
have a pleasant evening sweetie
Hugs,
Meg
Happy back to work day - BLEAH.
Hugs - from across the land and sea xo
Ooohhh if you DO come to the states and Meg takes a road trip...I am just a wee bit south of Terry.
We could have a meeting of the minds under that wonderful tree on Terry's blog.
I've had a few friends that were working single moms. It was tough but they rocked as I am sure you do ;o)
Hope you're having a perfect day, if not (or either way rather), it's my turn to have that bottle uncorked, ready and waiting.
This Friday night we (they) play the one and only team (again) that beat them so far this
season...time for some revenge!!!
Pleasant evening all,
Hugs
Meg
I LOVE angel food cake...that was always my cake of choice for my birthday...YUMMMMM
Oh yes Meg that is a GREAT idea...tree are you up for it? Ummmm....now that was a dumb question huh?
I don't know who would enjoy more...tree or us?
hello anybody home :0)
just stoppin by to say hey, how are things :0)
I'll be sure and pass along my new address at the giggling academy (where I am slowly but surely heading) but wanted to say hey to everyone who's anyone and this seemed to be the place to catch everybody. So since the babbling has already begun LOL I'll just leave it with
HI EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TRACE! Now that avatar is a sight for sore eyes! Like seeing a long lost friend :-) Giggling academy? HUGS!!!!
that would be the lovely place where the rooms are soft and cushy and they have sedatives on demand LOL don't know which is gonna drive me crazy first, the wedding or my students.
HI TERRY :0)
hugs back attcha (and the oh no lady is very appropriate right now LOL)
Best of luck with the ass-kicking. :-D
That picnic sounds like a whole heap of fun to be had (have been craving angel cake ever since I wrote that - haven't had a slice of that in what must be close to 15 years!). If you haven't, go see Terry's post about it - the view promises to be glorious. :-)
Happy Friday all!!!
hej! i realized you have changed the name of your site. i'll just update my template later.
best regards!
brrrrrrrrrrrrr
I am in on that meeting with Terry and Jillie and you...that would be cool!!!!
what happened to the decadent autumn storm??
Happy Friday A ~~~~~~~
Lets see your busy with work, I am suppose to be busy with work - LOL but I am so seriously ready for this weekend to begin. Another busy one (but then, most of mine are)only problem is that its usually all about doing things for others,,,one day it will be ALL ABOUT ME !!!
Hugs to you,
Meg
Chilly Willy sending you hugs on this brisk windy day...I am SO ready for some warm(er) weather...
Happy Friday and have a good wknd

Happy Friday night my exhausted friend :-) How're those randy chefs treating you? Making you smile I hope :-)
TRACEY!!!!!!!
you keep your ass

we miss you too much

(thats MY job anyway!!)
TRACEY!!!!!
miss you sooo much!
hope all's well!
at least you have
something to go
crazy over!
enjoy the rush,
girlfriend!!
did i mention
we miss you?
hee heeeee!
xoxo little old me
The chefs are pure entertainment, Terry. LOL
Happy Friday - hope you are as good as done on those darn forms.
Jodes - it wouldn't be the same without you! :-)
sheeeeees hooommmmme.... just time time to fall in the sack...Really, you must check out Anthony Bourdain's expose book about chefs... it is so funny I'm sure all the chefs in your kitchen would enjoy hearing quotes from it as well.
Forms are far from done - I can feel my butt spreading from sitting in this chair too long...
I'm still sitting in the chair.
Still - oh my gosh, counting the hours between the first message and the second, that is 6 hours of sitting! Hope you're done, or just about done. I'll have to locate the book and take a look. :-) Have a great weekend, if I don't see you around, xoxo
ahh london... my heart yearns for london... is that the millenium bridge?
You grew up in notting hill? ,y friend, Jazamin, grew up in notting hill... she lives in liverpool now.
I think Camden is briliant... so much character..
Yeah and I love hyde park too... something about it feels so positive and enduring
Have you ever been to the Globe theater, btw? Thats one place i definately want to go next time in in the smoke (in feb yaaay!).
Ive been past it several times on the way to the tate modern but never been to see a show there.
Hope you've had a great weekend. :-)
................
i haven't seen snow in the longest time!! *dances about excitedly at the sight of the picture*..
the last time i smelt the snow was about 2 years ago...at Mount BawBaw in Melbourne. then i moved to my native country where it is Summer all year 'round.
...wish we had the four seasons...
*smile*~
Hope you are having a wonderful (and warmer) Monday!! xoxo
Brrrrr...now that looks cold. So happy to be in the warmer weather. It's still chilly here.
I guess because it's cold in the house first thing. I look like the michillin (sp?) tire man.
I think I need some mittens.
xo
Hey Sweetness :)
Hope you had a great weekend and your week is off to a wonderful start. Your closing in on some more time off, right? I lose track of your days - LOL.
Mine was busy - too busy sometimes but good! It never ceases to amaze me how much I pack into weekends - LOL
hope all is well and we'll talk soon!
Meg
haha ur so sweet!
Keshi.
:-) Hope the journey was pleasant (and the goodbyes tolerable) and that settling back into work was a breeze. xo
J, my sweet ghato, missed you over the weekend, always do - hope you had a lovely one.
Have a great Tuesday, James.
Ditto Kesh. :-D
ha!
Hey A,
just wanted to pop in and say hey,
hey.
hope your well and your just about done or maybe aleady done with day number 7
(not that we want to wish our lives away or anything - LOL)
Hugs,
Meg
It's chilly willy over here...brrrrrr! Raining but we REALLY need it!
Have a great day Autumn ;o)
Typical british weather here at the moment, as it always is, in the sense that the only thing one can predict on any given day is that it will be unpredictable. :-) Got your longjohns?
You too, Jillie, a most wonderful day, xo
Hey Meg. :-) Just 3 more to go, like yourself, in fact my weekend will come before yours.
Lots to catch up on, when it does come. How about you - will this weekend be as packed as the one that preceeded?
Happy Tuesday, xo
Jodes, that's a sweet thing to say. More later, :-), xo
Hope all's well with you and that you are having a happy Tuesday.
James, what a great story. :-D
I can well imagine that was very scary, but what a tale to tell.
LOL
You bundle up and keep warm.
Hey you two. :-)
Hope you both are full of happy, xo
London in a nutshell - contains strong language
Happy hump day to ya! xo
Yo Autumn, 92 comments and still counting.
Feb is here. Shortest month of the year, and we just have to be associated with it.
Bought a stuffed giraffe at the zoo last week as an early prezzie for myself. Teleported it to you. Have you received it?
:-D
:-), xo
:-D
Hey Girlie,
How's it going? Weekend is knocking!!! I've been so crazy busy, but life is good so I don't complain (at the moment anyway - ha ha).
Actually, I think this will be somewhat of a laidback weekend, probably the most since before the holidays. But, I shall not hold my breath as plans can change quickly. Oh, and there is the Super Bowl - big thing over here ya know :)
hope all is well.
Hugs,
Meg
annnnnnnnnnnnnd....
100.

how's you?
hope you're hangin in
for your weekend festivities
coming sooner and sooner!

little one and nothing

Wow, now look at that... Mz JJ was 100! That number just looked so nice this a.m. when I saw the number of your posts :-D
Yes, your Thursday is almost done, and mine has only begun. Nice and gray today, overcast, but alas, dry. We are really pushing the drought borderline... I hope we get some rain this month. January went on record in San Francisco as the 8th dryest in recorded history.
Hope your weekend is about to start! xo
hey, i'm nice and gray today, too!
and no, i'm not pushing for 200 comments, that was a one time special even if we did get to 300!
i didnt know you guys didnt have
any rain...wow, thats so weird for
winter there, isnt it...
well, our rain turned into a giant
iceberg here, so we're all just little frozen blocks waiting to
thaw out here...it happens...
i'd take 40 or 50 degrees right now in a heartbeat...brrrrr!
hope your day zooms by Terr!
hey Autumn, you're probably done i hope! havin a beer with Billy?
Billy, i love that name! Sarah has a new friend at school she is flirting with named Billy, too! man, he better keep his hands OFF of my kid or i'll make mincemeat out of him...oh sorry, Mama Bear forgot her manners...!
xo
Happy almost Friday, xoxo
Dance away Autumn - I'll not turn away any help... :-) I'm pulling up a chair - clink - a toast to friends.
woo hooo! one more day, A...!
hope you're feeling better..
probably knowing your 4 day
break is coming up will make
things all right again!
ps i think Sarahs Billy IS

Karma's comin' back already to

hope tomorrow goes by fast for you Autumn..! xoxo
To friends. :-)
Hey Terry. Almost Friday and almost next week and closer to the time that G will be home - that has gotta feel good. :-)
Have a great evening, xo
Lisa, I can just imagine you pacing the floors. :-) Young Sarah's a smart lass, he's probably a very nice boy. :-D
Happy Friday - catch you more later, x
A zoo to say the least! But yes they all get along. Emmett doesn't care for Talli but he tolerates her because he has too...LOL.
Jim is doing GREAT!!! He goes home today and now maybe things can settle down here. Too much chaos for my taste.
I've been trying to post comments on tree's blog...have you been able to get into it? All day it was saying error...HMMMMM!!!
Oh yeah...have a great day AND great wknd xo
Jillie, there seems to be a handful of blogs that Blogger has messed up the ability to leave a comment and Trebuchet is one of those. Hopefully soon they will fix the problem. If you really need to show me some love, both of my DT sites are up and running and comment capable. :-D
Go Colts! :-D
Oh, and how was that foot massage?
Speak of the devil. Problem fixed and love received. :-D
I've got one thing to say:
BRING ON THE FREAKIN WEEKEND BABY!!!
dang, I worked way too hard this week. Hope all is well with you A, I miss catching up with you. You must be just about starting your days off by now, huh?
Have a splendid, slow and relaxing days off and take care of yourself and get some "me" time!!
Hugs,
Meg
Happy Friday, Jillie, xo :-)
Meg, gonna wish you the same and put a Woot! at the end of it. :-D Hope you have a great couple of days, knowing you will be out for 2 days plus (and that I have some extra time), I can safely promise that my part of the 'catch-up' will be in your inbox by Monday first thing.
Hope you take your own words of wisdom to heart and have yourself some 'me-time' too.
Take care, talk soon, xo
PS Last I checked, I wasn't able to comment again on your blog - admittedly I haven't done the rounds yet today - am so sleepy and knowing I would leave more coherent comments tomorrow, I'm deciding to wait. Fingers crossed, I will have better luck this time, otherwise you know why.
Changed my mind, if I can get in, you are about to witness me in tired-mode. :-D
Hope your Olson shopping was fun (ach - it would NOT be my idea of a good time - LOL)
Have a good evening... NOT AT WORK!!
I think g-man is dying to be your bitch Autumn...
Can you blame him? I would too...
Have a great wknd...and yes, those guys can really make a person laugh...Aren't they just wonderful?
And you too my dear Autumn
Have a terrific wknd! xo
LOL
Jillie bean, you wouldn't have to audition. :-D
Gotta love a man who knows how to give good giggle.
Hope your weekend is full of fun and frolicking, x
lol, I'm somewhere in the East...far far away :P near the Equator.. :)
oh no, I don't just stop by your blog; if I have the time i visit blogs regularly. did i say, IF i had time? *grin*..
(today I am tired of saying that)
:-)
Hope you have a wonderful Sunday, wherever you are. :-)
Hey Autumn,
all is well- kind of, it's just been a hellacious beginning of the year. Maybe its been the deep freeze we've been in lately(wind chill in Cleveland has hit as low as -20 degrees), but I truly appreciate your kind words, and please know that I am battling this unusually low mood I am in now.
Stunningly beautiful! I love this pic, thanks for sharing.
