Oh that is SO where I want to be right now. Peaceful with nothing but the sound of the waves and birds. Imagine if you could spend the whole day alone on the beach...wow...that would be some GREAT therapy for me! xo
That's it, our beach. That mile to the village seems way too short now. You've got me wanting to put my "feet in the water" pic up, just so I can look at it all day and imagine the sand between my toes.
I think Jillie hit the nail on the head. Therapy. Wonder if we can get a group discount, you know, with the gang an all. Can't leave anyone at home. I'd never hear the end of it. :-D
One of my absolute favourite things to do, and though I love tropical beaches, there's just something about a more feisty coastline that makes those places seem like heaven on earth.
All the more reason, we need to get moving on this island buying thing. A place just waiting 365 days a year. :-)
afternoon you hope life is dealing you in a good hand today, mine's not looking too shabby, i'm just hoping that this evening i'm not dealt a duff set though
:-) And don't forget Terry's pan and Justin's sax. Do you play the guitar, Jillie? Otherwise James does. As for me, I'll just be dancing. And Trée can take care of the fire.
Good luck on the hand you are dealt tonight. Here's the thing though, it's not just about the cards, it's how you play them - we all know that - but also, it's about your place at the table, put yourself in a good spot and it'll all work out much better either way. I'll be over in a bit to see what's up. As for me, all's good that need be, and that's more than enough for me. xo
Ouch, James. I've been to Swansea, one of the few places that I have been in England that aren't in the London A-Z. Shame on me of course, but as you know, I'm sure, it takes a lot less time to fly out of London than to drive out. At least that's why I never did it much before, but I intend to change that - to get up to Scotland and over to Ireland too, to revisit the districts to the North and South, go to any that I have not been and to revisit Wales. Maybe I'll take a tour of England - it's about time. :-D
Went to Swansea years ago, when I was applying to Uni the first time around, beautiful beach I saw too.
Hope you have a great day today and week ahead. :-)
i'm hoping that i can get the right seat tonight and that the cards just almost fall into my lap and i can be the stunning and confident me that we all know resides deep within me
basically i just need to chill and be me around her
ooh! I didn't make it over yet (I know, click of a button and all that, I'm a-coming), but I gather you grabbed the bull by the horns and got a yes. Wooooohoooooo! Way to go, Pete! :-) Now, what you remember is this, we all think you are fabulous and with good reason. Go be you and have a ton of fun, x
Hey Autumn, good Monday afternoon - er' evening by now for you. Been a busy little beaver actually working my butt off over here and finally said "enough is enough" time to go check on my favorite people in the whole wide virtual world !!!
Hoping your weekend was nothing more than rest, relaxtion, fun and exciting - or at least some of those :)
Mine was busy, hectic but good. Umm, things are pretty good right and I feel the tides of change - so keep your fingers crossed and one day we'll "chat" about all thats new :)
Afternoon Meg - I'm just in the midst of doing the rounds too and you caught me here just as I was on route to your place. I love Mondays, when everyone comes back after days off. :-) Good to hear you had a great weekend - mine was thoroughly lazy and in that way very near perfect. :-) Have a great rest of the day, and know that I am looking forward to hearing what sounds like plenty of great news. xo
Meg, last time I tried to comment at your place and today again now, I was not able to see the word verification. Just so you know, I'd have said hey if I could.
I'll have to check it out...thanks for letting me know....not like I could do a damn thing about it (ya know - technically challenged and all :)).....usually when things don't work right it means its time to go out and get another - LOL
So, when do you have to start back at the grind again?
Meg, nothing you can do, it just happens sometimes, will fade away again soon, am sure - just wanted to let you know, that this is why you might not see me there. Back to work Wednesday for another 10 day stretch. Gotta say, not to complain, but the 4 days seem to fly past and the 10 drag along. :-D
Hope you have a great rest of the day, hugs to you, x
I'll be back later - G and I have been flat on our backs all weekend (no not THAT) with the flu. I'm still sick, but the IRS waits for no man or woman so I have to crank these out at work... bleah bleah
Triple bleah. Sorry to hear you guys have been ill. :-( Hope you feel better asap! At least well enough so that you have the proper energy to back all the work you need to do.
Good Morning Awesome Autumn ! Hey, I just thought of that :) See what pops in my head when I think of you.
Hope your enjoying your Tuesday. Mine will be hectic and busy - and thats a good thing. Got a basketball game to go to tonight so thats a good thing to look forward to.
LOL Hey Marvellous Meg, happy Tuesday to you too (and I've just realized, I just wished someone a happy Wednesday - why is it so hard to get the days right:)
I once went to see the Harlem Globe Trotters here at Wembley, but that's the one and only time. Have a ton of fun, wish I could join you.
& have an absolutely brilliant day, love and hugs, xo
Ha ha about the mix of days,,,,last week I told someone (I think it was Mist) that since it was Friday she should consider it "free friday" and go without panties (it had to do with the post she wrote) WELL, it was only Thursday when I wrote it - guess I was rushing things along towards the weekend or something...
The BB game I have to go to is my daughters (H.S.) I love, LOVE watching her play - she's funny, (well you've seen a picture of her) a little vertically challenged for being a basketball player and she is all, ALL girl otherwise, but put her on the court and she turns into this very competivtive jock ! Course, she still looks damn good :)
Lisa - sausage whipping made me laugh out loud - snort in fact... even though the thought of you in the store, smacking the insolent counter boy with those naked, smooth-skinned sausages is quite the graphic... LOL BTW, there are oh so many ways to lay flat on your back and do THAT... don't you have that book about kamasutra or some such thing... lots of impossible things are possible. Besides, you are talking about the Bear and I :-) :O) :8)
Jillie - you sweet thing you... would have welcomed a nurse - just your cheerful face (with cheese on top of your head) would have made us laugh... LOL Autumn - thank you for the soup. It was perfect. Yes, a beach party is always grand... I'll bring my accordian and steel drum. Lisa will have her flute - Autumn will put on her diaphanous scarf outfit and dance in front of the flames rising upward from the bonfire... whoo hooo! Are the waves phospherous tonight?
He looks it, Jillie, looks like a real sweetie - still cannot promise I wouldn't jump a mile into the air though, but as said, with that face, if anyone was going to cure me of this irrational fear, I've no doubt Jody would be the one to do it. :-D
I actually had two cats once, Eddie and Murphy, kittens when I got them and so it was fine. :-) Plus at the time, I was living on a farm on the border to Germany and they, two's company and all that, weren't very bothered about anything other than playing and dinnertime. :-)
Jillie, either I was asleep when I wrote said message or I am getting old. :-D All I recall is laughing at Lisa's description of what she wanted to do with said sausages.
Meg, of course, how could she not have turned out a beauty with such wonderful genes coming from her mother. She is the spitting image of you, at least on the photograph that I saw. :-) I've heard it said several times that in competitive sports, girls outrank the boys when it comes to how serious they get about it all. I'll be rootin for her team. :-D Hope you have a ton of fun! And let us know, how she did.
Autumn's probably theonly one in Blogland who has seen her blogmates real live faces... i just thought Meg was lips, and other Meg (Fred's friend) Magdalene-Sophie, was an eyeball, and Terry is a groovy blackbird (crow?) and etc... so Meg, you've got a teen daughter too, huh? how old is she?
okay, lets get back to sausage slapping now, shall we? yes, 101 uses for a Spicy OR Sweet Italian sausage...
Terry, i love that word diaphanous...i must look it up, sounds like one of those visual words that means exactly as it sounds, all chiffony and opaque and see thru-y and delicate in the breeze... actually Autumn, you'd love some of these new age gigs i do, especially the one we did round christmas with 100 people all dancing together, yes, some with scarves, everyone dancing with everyone, all swirling about...i could never do that but i sure could help with the music for people who did want to...and i could see Autumn and probably Terry and yes, even little big Bear dancing all about... even if you had to have a quinoa martini to start with...
Autumn, thanks for helping me get over to Jillie spot. Your a peach!
And thanks for the comments about my daughter - I happen to think she's pretty gorgeous myself, but then again I may be a bit biased :)
Lisa - she's 17, which is quite remarkable when you think about it - cause I am only 27 myself (cough, cough) ok, add 10 years...ok maybe more like 12 - LOL
she also has two brothers - so yep, three teens that claim to have my same genes...one day I'll post tons of pictures - one day soon :)
BTW, count me in for the beach party. You all won't mind if I tip a few, will you? Don't worry, I'm a pleasant drunk :)
quinoa martini - ROFLMAO... ha ha ha ha. Think we could make it a tequila quinoa shake instead? Martinis make me gag. Not like a quinoa shake would be any better - hmmm, better re-think this. My queasy stomach is a little touch and go yet today...
They scarf dance in Albania - especially and almost exclusively the men. They like it better than the gals, and dance around holding their hanky (you know, a man-scarf) in the air with one hand whilst moving in a huge circle with other men. I think your dance party sounds more fun. My Bear loves to dance. He dances in the kitchen with me, on the front porch, on the beach and yes, even he even danced with my Dad & wife in a weird disco place in Reno with me :-) Lucky Lucky me :-D
There's the challenge for your next post, Lisa, 101 uses for a Spicy OR Sweet Italian sausage, I have every confidence that you could list them all too. Prize this time, a box of Valentine candy, what say you?
Oh, and can I just express in regard to Quinoa Martini the following: LOL
Lucky gal, Terry. The three things I want in a man are as follows;): Someone who will dance (notice the will and not the can), someone who can cook and someone who gives a good massage. Anyone with those three skills is worth their weight in gold in my book.
Autumn...if you are going to put up that blog...I will HAVE to send TC and g-man over here for that one. They would REALLY add some spice to that one...no pun intended....lol!!
Took me a long while to wake up this morning, Evening Terry, sweet dreams when you get that far. Jillie, I'll give you the link to Lisa (javajazz) if she takes me up on it. :-)

:-D Remind G-pop to bring that cap of his, I'd want to see that in person, complete with rolo smile.
The ocean is always therapeudic, is it not, whether we need it or not, it just calms the soul with it's rhythms and makes sense of everything.
Happy day to you, xo

Perfect. :-)
Happy Monday, Christa, and thanks, you too, xo
oooh that is so nice and peaceful and warm looking.
Nice image. Reminds me of the first time I went to Swansea. That was far from a perfect day.. but it was a nice beach.
We walked along it for ages and I got burned to a crisp.
afternoon you
hope life is dealing you in a good hand today, mine's not looking too shabby, i'm just hoping that this evening i'm not dealt a duff set though
That's it!! We all need to meet there....bonfire...blankets...guitar...what a great time would that be!!!
:-) And don't forget Terry's pan and Justin's sax. Do you play the guitar, Jillie? Otherwise James does. As for me, I'll just be dancing. And Trée can take care of the fire.

Well, I am not musically talented and that includes singing, I can be busy pouring the wine ;o) You know I am the hostest with the mostest! LOL
Yep, little birdie told me you throw the most fabulous parties. Official wine topper-upper it is! :-)

Wow! Where is this place?
The long wait for the next entry here since early Jan has been totally worth it.
OMG thats too beautiful to be true!!
Keshi.
um, Terry?
i was just wondering...
can you guys
be flat on your backs
AND do "THAT"...?
Oh Terry you poor thing. You need a nurse?
I hope you feel better soon. You have to come to our beach party too. It just wouldn't be complete without you!
:-)
Hey Saff. This picture is from the south coast of England. So close, I could get there by the end of the day, that's a nice thought to have.
Kesh, again, I couldn't agree more. :-) Hope your week is off to a great start, x
Lisa, I'm thinking angles. :-)
i've not grabbed any bulls by the horns yet, i am still suffering from the fear...and there is seemingly nothing i can do about it
last night i was sat next to her the whole night and stlil couldn't say anything
i suck :(
Absolutely gorgeous! Hope you are having a most wonderful day, beautiful!! xoxo
Pete, you do not suck!
Don't worry so much and it'll come, x And think about your spot at the table, that'll help.
Morning my devastatingly handsome ghato, wishing you a wonderful day too, xoxo :-)

Terry's hit it right on the head.
How are you feeling? I'm sending, or trying to send you, warm wishes from this cold weather. Quite dreary today.
Autumn...I'm rereading some of the blogs and I giggled a little out loud with your description on what do do with the naked sausage...Blech....HAHA
Autumn...not to worry about "Jody" he's a mighty couch lion and his yawn is worse than his bite...Yes, he is big...ALL 15# pounds of him!
He's almost 12 years old and I've had him since he was 5 weeks old. He is a REAL cuddle bug to say the least.
Jillie - how come I can't get to your place??? When I go to your profile I don't see it and unfortunatley I didn't link soon enough.....help!!!
Thanks for letting me use your place Autumn for some personal business :)
Anytime, Meg, and this is Jillie's url: htp://jillie-nurseratched.blogspot.com

word diaphanous...i must
look it up, sounds like
one of those visual
words that means exactly
as it sounds, all chiffony
and opaque and see thru-y
and delicate in the breeze...
actually Autumn, you'd love
some of these new age gigs
i do, especially the one
we did round christmas
with 100 people all dancing
together, yes, some with
scarves, everyone dancing
with everyone, all swirling
about...i could never do that

Wow.. I never knew beaches in the UK were so nice. Is it deserted cos it's cold?
That would be my guess, Chai. :-)
Hope all's well with you, busy, busy, busy I imagine, as per usual.
Or Tequila Quinoa as the case may be.
Lucky gal, Terry. The three things I want in a man are as follows;): Someone who will dance (notice the will and not the can), someone who can cook and someone who gives a good massage. Anyone with those three skills is worth their weight in gold in my book.
Of course there are a couple other things that wouldn't go amiss either, or add to the pot so to speak.
That would be Terry too, of course, who has met up with a blogmate. :-D Two thus far for me, though I intend to add quite significantly to that.
Oh, did I mention that my Bear is 24K?
check, check and check.
Meg, it wouldn't be the same without you. :-D
Ask Terry for the link to the post she wrote about this bonfire night.
You didn't need to, we knew. :-)
Oh Meg - don't know if this is the one she means, but here is a tame one about a bonfire ...
That's the one. :-)
Autumn - :-D
Autumn...if you are going to put up that blog...I will HAVE to send TC and g-man over here for that one. They would REALLY add some spice to that one...no pun intended....lol!!
Terry...LOL at the names Eddie and Murphy...how cute is that!
Meg...you know you and I could add a bit of midwwest flare to the party. I'll tip a few with ya!
Took me a long while to wake up this morning,
Evening Terry, sweet dreams when you get that far.
Jillie, I'll give you the link to Lisa (javajazz) if she takes me up on it. :-)
