3 years 197 days

That is how much run time Team Bravo has accumulated in the less than 4 months since it was started.

(pause for effect)

And when one considers that members have been joining along the way, as recent as just 2 days ago - A Big Bravo Welcome to Newest Team Member Grace aka SweetJaine - it accentuates just what an amazingly dedicated team of crunchers Bravo is.

(pause for effect, some more) :-)

Which all in all adds up to an amazing Team Total of 939,436 points and 4,714 results!
At it's current rate, Bravo will be able to celebrate reaching a grand total of 1,000,000 points by the middle of next week! Even sooner, if anyone reading this decides they might like to participate. For a quick overview of what the Grid is all about and how you can be a part of it, watch this short video.
By joining the World Community Grid , there is a very real potential to make a very real difference, and all that will ever be required is a few minutes of set-up time. From then on out, whenever your computer is idle, it will be working on projects such as the current Help Cure Muscular Dysthrophy, Genome Comparison, Human Proteome Folding - Phase 2 and FightAids@Home using the ultra-safe software freely available from the WCG.
To be a part of the team, first register, download and install and then come join us here.

As always my Sweetest, another excellent Team Bravo update. I am so excited to see Grace join and to see the consistent and steady crunching and folding our mates are quietly doing. I think of the antibiotics I'm taking now and I think that somewhere at some time somebody did research to develop what today is helping me heal. How exciting it is that with modern technology, me and you and anyone who has a computer and internet and five minutes of time can make a contribution to quicken research that will help our children. Truly amazing.

All are welcome to join us. Got five minutes today? Download a very small, very safe device and become a part of the solution. I've got more than 21 years of cpu time given without a single problem. Put your fears away and give five minutes today to make a difference. :-)

Absolutely fantastic stuff Autumn. Proud to be a member. Just using work computer but will be back this evening to partake of your warm cosy little comments box ok!

I love it here!

Autumn Storm said...

Truly, as is the thought that any one of those calculations could be the one to make all the difference. :-) I think of you too, of others I know who are benefitting also, and it makes me appreciate all the more each of the people who took the time to join us at Bravo. Amazing each of them.

Like Simon. :-)

I've just put this on my photoblog....Autumn Storm, touché! Now I'm all warm and gooey in my comment box!
Thank you!

Just wanted to let you know that!!

Now I'm sure that some people/most people would call what I'm doing right now sad....Late Saturday night commenting on a blog in a little comment box, watching Sky News about other peeps misfortune.

But......
let me tell you this - there is actually nowhere else I would rather be!

Can you _____________

Autumn Storm said...

Only those who have no idea what blogging is all about. We wouldn't have half as nice a time or get to know as much about someone else sitting across from them in a noisy pub, mostly anyway. And I know precisely what you mean, I miss this place tremendously whenever I cannot swing by whenever I want to. Tonight for example I was out, and at one point passed an internet cafe, the thought as I did so was one of real longing. :-D Warm and gooey feels nice, doesn't it, glad I was able to return the favour. :-)

EBEZP said...

I think we must be 'twinnies' seperated at birth.....OMG no I don't!!

Autumn Storm said...

:-) Well...we both seem to be nightowls.

EBEZP said...

But I'm guessing you maybe don't do Sunday Mornings.......

Morning! There is something incredibly sexy about being in such a warm cosy little box when you guess the
owner is asleep……..
I’ve just put a World Community Grid/Team Bravo linky thing on my side bar on Wilko News.
Have a great
Sunday and it’s even better when they are really awake!

EBEZP said...

Sorry that looks slightly inappropriate, not sorry for saying it but sorry for putting it there!

I will delete both these if you want Autumn, maybe I just got carried away and thought I was in the Gutter!!

On work computer again, which shuts down at mid day! Wouldn't mind you know I can't even access The Gutter Press at work....NSFW, crying shame.

Unusually though I have posted on all 3 today and it's Sunday, day of rest for most but work for me!!

My days of rest are Monday and Tuesday and believe me I will rest.

If you think that this sort of thing is better done by E mail or not at all let me know. You can E mail me through my profile on all sites.

Hey ho the wind and the rain,
Thunder lightning and snow....

And so to work said Zebedee

Take care have a good one.

Autumn Storm said...

Depends what you mean by doing, :-D, but off the cuff, my answer would be 'usually, yes'.

And was that a hint, that my name would be more apt above a stable door? LOL Do so like your keyword comments. :-) Typed in Sunday Morning and this may not quite be my view as I sit here in the sunshine (finally, woohoo), but it does capture the feeling that the air brings with it this morning. Hope your Sunday is as glorious and peaceful as the photo. :-)

Autumn Storm said...

I was just finishing my reply as you posted the above. :-)

Autumn Storm said...

LOL, that even better when they are awake thing(?), please don't worry about comments such as that, taken in the spirit they are meant, fun. :-)

Have a great day at work! :-) And thanks, Simon, for putting up the link to Bravo, who knows, maybe we'll get lucky. :-)

EBEZP said...

Well it certainly makes the post about Team Bravo look ever so popular doesn't it, wow 13 + comments it's got to be good.

The doing is getting to know each other better which I would love to do but equally I wouldn't want the comments to drop off!! Or anything else for that matter and sometimes if you say I love that pic I sometimes would like just you to have it?!

Thanks for the Sunday Morning pic, it's the sort of tranquility that I sometimes seek, but not all the time, sometimes I buzz so much - am so edgy - I've just got to be doing. Know what I mean? Still fun though!

Have a really good Sunday.

Sweet Dreams when you get that far my Sweetest One. :-)

Autumn Storm said...

You too, sweetest heart, when you get that far, x

Simon, Monday morning and the start of your 'weekend' from what I understand, so here's hoping you have a nice couple of days off. Though from the sounds of it, you may be one of those who end up doing more when they are home. :-)

I'll take a hug thank you. Sorry I've been away so long, but I am still processing the events that lead to my hiatus. Soon I will be back in full blog mode.

I've just been waiting for the opportunity -> Bear hugs.
Look after yourself, Virgil, anticipating your return and hearing more on how you have been.:-) You've been missed.

EBEZP said...

Well I don't get offers like that everyday and now we have so confused anybody else who might be around.
Google won't let me give you a hug so we'll have to settle for something different!

EBEZP said...

HUG

Autumn Storm said...

:-) Back attcha, Simon. If you haven't seen it before, and even if you have, there's a link in my sidebar entitled 'Free Hugs'. Watch it, you'll love it.
Now, Coronation I do not mind missing, but Eastenders, no way! :-D

EBEZP said...

Your linky thing is showing blogger 404, so I watched it at Trée’s! I like it! Thanks.
"I pushed her off that roof with my bare hands, so come onthen......."

Autumn Storm said...

Gosh, you're quick. :-) I don't usually watch it, but this storyline has been heartbreaking - hats off to the boy actor!
Thanks for telling me, I'll get that link sorted. Corrie part II for you now, I'm guessing. On the BB bandwagon too? :-)

EBEZP said...

God no!! You don't do BB do you?

Do me a favour Autumn, get over to mine and vote for Crabby in the blog interview awards. She only needs a couple of votes to take top spot!!

Autumn Storm said...

Will do, and no, I've caught it quite often and one cannot help hearing all the buzz, but the whole thing, the mania most of all, I just cannot understand.

EBEZP said...

Coyote Ugly on ITV2 and pimping my ass for Crabby!!! This is more like it!!

Autumn Storm said...

Now that is a job I would like, to be one of the Cayotes. :-) Enjoy your movie!

EBEZP said...

We went in to the Vegas Coyote Ugly allegedly better than the real one in New York and it was absolutely fantastic, no Leanne Rimes but hey heaps better than anything we can offer in this country!

Funny you should say that though, I'm holding private auditions.....!!!!

Autumn Storm said...

You're right, we'd never see anything like that at the King's Head. We should open one, slap bang in the middle of all the pin-stripes. Rules likely against actually calling it Cayote Ugly, but the main thing anyway is that we get the hats and the boots!
And a sign over the door saying 'No ex-BB housemates allowed' and in small underneath 'but Jack and Vera are welcome'.

EBEZP said...

We should definitely open one....what should we call it?
I think it would be better in Brighton or Blackpool than in with the pin stripes!
I like The Vixen Village!
HAPPY TUESDAY

Autumn Storm said...

:-) Happy Tuesday, Simon.

The Vixen Village sounds good to me. Still like the idea of shaking my stuff on a bar in front of the pinnies though, of course in my mind they all look like Colin Firth, which may just be a far cry from the real deal. Once we are successful, we can branch out to the coast. How's that sound? :-)

EBEZP said...

MM….well here’s Colin and I’ll think about it!!!

Autumn Storm said...

:-) Thank you, I'd never say no to Colin.

EBEZP said...

Right after Eastenders yourself tonight!
Hey Crabby's in the lead by 11 isn't that good? I like this pimping lark! Hee Hee!!
I guess it was the offer of free sex!! First prize free sex with G Man, second prize freer sex with....yours truly!
Yours btw according to my little google gadget thing is the site I visit the most!

Do you think that maybe sooner or later we might transfer part of this to E mail....I don't mind at all but peeps will be talking!!

I do sometimes think peeps are scared off posting a comment if there are a lot of comments do you?
I know I have been before.

Hey do you know I'd hardly ever even come across you before Jillie's trip to visit you? Then significantly Team Bravo. I guess that's one of the things I really like about this blogland thing, the way people become friends and good friends at that!
Do you remember when you first came across me?

Autumn Storm said...

Way to go, Crabby!

Simon, I am notoriously bad at clicking on links. Most of the people that I have become close to came my way first. I remember seeing your unusual avatar at Jillie's quite often, but it wasn't until you joined Bravo and left a message here that I hit the link back to yours.

Lots of long conversations through these pages, no problem on that score, and what is nice about conversations here as opposed to email is that others can join in. Perhaps we'll get an alternative or two for The Vixen Village. :-) In regards to comments, it happens, and I have known it to happen here too, but hopefully potential teammates will be determined enough not to let a few messages deter them from finding out more or leaving any other kind of comment, and the same goes for anyone else who wishes to say something. :-)

EBEZP said...

Fine with me! I didn't want you to think I was taking up too much space!!

I don't even know your name though...as in Hi I'm ebezp and your autumn storm/Hi I'm Simon and your.........Super!

Autumn Storm said...

Nope. Just a piece of the infinite. :-)

EBEZP said...

That sounds even better....LOL! You have a way with words!

Anyway I spelt supper wrong!!

Trée said...

Sweet dreams when you get that far. In about ten days I'm heading down to Louisiana and with a little luck will be adding another mate or maybe two to Bravo.

I'd like to encourage all of our mates to feel free to spread the word and encourage other to consider joining our cause, a universal human endeavor, and maybe even joining Bravo as their vehicle of retribution in the fight for cures. All are welcome to join us. And all are welcome to recruit others to join us too.

Rawk on fellow brothers and sisters in the righteous cause of our untiring efforts and indefatigable resolve. We raise the banner of hope on those facing the fading light. Come join us. We need your help. :-)

El Captain aka Poppet :-D

PS: Free hooha inspections to all female members that join before midnight on the ides. Email me for details. :-D

EBEZP said...

Happy Wednesday

Autumn Storm said...

:-) And a Wonderful Wednesday to you too, Simon!!!

Autumn Storm said...

Does that include all members who have joined before midnight, or just those who might today? :-)

Morning, Poppet. It would be so welcome to see a few more join through the teammates that are currently there, blogmates, family, friends, colleagues. Fingers crossed for those potential teammates down south. :-) I'm hoping to do the same thing when I visit with family and friends in Denmark next month.

Love and hugs to you, and a happy day ahead, x

Trée said...

If each current mate recruited one other person (family, friend or foe) to join us, we would double in size overnight. Think about that. :-D

Autumn Storm said...

Perhaps we should issue a challenge. :-)

Jodes said...

hi

Autumn Storm said...

Hey Miss Busy-busy-busy. :-) Have a great day.

Trée said...

Wouldn't hurt. ;-)

EBEZP said...

Found this and thought of you and our new enterprise!!
You first!!

Autumn Storm said...

She looks just like a lion with that mane. :-)

Autumn Storm said...

Maybe in conjunction with reaching 1,000,000. :-) I wonder who would be game, and more importantly, do we offer a prize to the person with the most? ;-)

EBEZP said...

Yeah her crowning glory!
I'm just about to post my 4th pic on the Gutter tonight....where is everybody? There's nobody around, blogland is deserted.

Just AS and EBEZP strolled the streets of blogland looking for their next 'hit'!!

Trée said...

Are you thinking about a prize for who recruits the most mates in a certain period of time?

Autumn Storm said...

It is unusually quiet about the place these last couple of days, but everyone is accounted for, at least those who might normally stop by here. :-)

Autumn Storm said...

Absolutely. Were we to do it properly, and issue a real challenge, we should have a set time frame and make sure to invite all the teammates to join in the competition should they so choose. Any ideas for what the prize could be? My first thought was an official Team Bravo T-shirt.

Trée said...

Good idea, but no pink this time. :-D

We might need to put a minimum to qualify.

Autumn Storm said...

At least not flourescent. :-D

Or we could say the first person to recruit x amount of people has won. And if it's a success, we can make it a regular thing, surpass the already carefully selected goal that we have for this time next year. :-)

Autumn Storm said...

And we can put up posts awarding them the title of Bravo teammate of the month, that has got to be great incentive. :-D
Oooh, so much fun to be had. Hope they wanna play. :-D

Trée said...

I'll put you in charge of T-shirt design and production since you have experience in this arena. ;-)

Autumn Storm said...

I'll do my best to make it a prize worth winning. :-D

EBEZP said...

I'll put a post up at the weekend, using stuff from each of your sites and see if we get any through that hey?

AS is jillie ok? I've seen her dog's post, but didn't know if there was anything else?

Autumn Storm said...

Love that idea, Simon! :-)

Regards Jillie, I'm sure she is fine, haven't heard otherwise. Safe to take the post as is written, a lot on, etc, I'd say. :-)

EBEZP said...

That's ok then!
Nite Nite sweet AS!

Autumn Storm said...

Lucky I don't have an extra S. Sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite. :-)

EBEZP said...

Morning!
So you don't have a sweet 1 then?!
Have a good day AS!

Autumn Storm said...

I've got all sorts of comebacks for that one, but I'm going to be a good girl and settle for a plain ole: :-D

You too, Simon, enjoy every moment. :-)

Trée said...

Sweetest, take care of you. Made some headway last night on the book so feel free to let loose. Thanks for you being you. No one else quite like you. I think I'm going to take one last look at that walk and see if I see a shooting star or two. :-)

Autumn Storm said...

:-)

Missing you already, sweetest heart. Stay safe, we'll be waiting for you when you get back.

Hugs for tomorrow, my treasured friend, xo

EBEZP said...

Oh here it is the warmest and cosiest comments box in the land! OOOH that's better, oh btw AS do you like Johnny Depp? search and ye shall find!!
Be back soon and I'll bring some food ok? I won't disturb your E/enders!

Autumn Storm said...

:-) Lovely image, reminds me of fairytales with magical, happy endings. Johnny is on my list of 'one time only', which is slightly misleading in title, meaning rather he would only need circle my bed once in order to get invited in. :-D
Uncorking the wine so that it is ready when I get back. Hope you're having a great evening, Simon, even if Eastenders was slightly disappointing tonight. :-)

EBEZP said...

Got pizza and some smoked fish coming to yours very soon, wait for me with the wine.
Once around the bed indeed that's great!! Not heard that before!
Meanwhile I have to ring the Johnny Pretender. See you very soon.

EBEZP said...

Oh sorry! I got delayed you've had all the wine!! That's not fair!! I'm hungry though, what for I'm not saying.......settle for this pizza and all this lovely fish and seeings as you’ve drunk all the wine it’s a good job I got these and this !!!
So supper girl! Told you I spelt it wrong! How’s your day been?

EBEZP said...

TGIF

Autumn Storm said...

Happy Friday, Simon!!!
So sorry I missed you, must have been the wine, ;-), made me drift off without the intention. And that seafood looked so appetising too!

Hope you have a truly wonderful day ahead. :-)
