The time has come

where we can celebrate our first individual member reaching...

Woohoo!

Congratulations
to tgeorge1 aka Trée aka the captain and creator of Team Bravo and as such whom without there would be no Team Total of results. And so the thanks extend to introducing the rest of us to The World Community Grid. :-) Lead on, captain.

For those who do not know, to those who do bear with me as I repeat certain facts, Team Bravo is one of over 18,000 teams (comprising almost 850,000 computers) that are linked to the grid by a very small agent freely available to download from their website. It is completely safe and does not interfere with one's use of one's computer. To register, download and install takes less than 5 minutes and to join Team Bravo, just a couple of seconds more. In so doing, you will be part of a community working together to assist in research towards finding medicines and cures for a range of diseases including Cancer, Hepatitis C and AIDS. Worthy causes all and such an easy thing to do. All it requires is that one time contribution of 5 minutes of time. No other effort is needed, nothing. The device works in the background when the computer is idle, using spare CPUs to work on data that it automatically downloads from the WCG and then sends it back when completed. Joining the WCG and Team Bravo has to be the easiest way ever to make a contribution. Every result counts, join us today and help us return more. All are welcome, all that is needed is a computer and an internet connection.

While Trée's amazing achievement is the reason for a Bravo post today, as always, the team has been returning results at an impressive rate and knowing how important each one of those is, that for each one it brings us a step closer to finding what we search for, it truly warms the heart to see.

PS
Of the 18,000 teams and at only 7.5 months old, we rank 828th for total runtime, 762nd for the points we have generated and 773rd for results!
Way to go Team Bravo!

Well done!

Big congrats Trée! And big congrats to you Autumn and every last one of us!!
We are amazing aren't we?
Awesome.
Go Team Bravo!

Hope your Monday was good Autumn mine has been awesome so far and still a phone call to make!!!!

Autumn Storm said...

Thank you, Miladysa, since you are in my timezone, wishing you a good night. :-)

Simon, 4 million points is just around the corner. As quickly as our guys return results, there seem now to be milestones every week. :-) Bob hit half a mill, Sherry 100,000, those are the two that I can remember off the top of my head, but there are more for sure, why even Trée has two more, 4 years of runtime and 4000 results. :-D Amazing is the right word, a*mazing even better. Makes the soul sing to see, doesn't it, bloggers (and their friends and family) wanting to help. 5 minutes it may be, as you can evidence, nothing easier, but thanks are given with gusto to those who have actually taken the step to join for as you also know, asking 5 minutes of peoples is sometimes too much. Happy Monday evening to you. :-)

OH WOW Trée!!!! That is truly truly incredible!! Congrats to everyone! I'm still loving being part of this team and always will!

Trée said...

Sweetest, you are simply magnificent. Kudos to the whole team from top to bottom. Every single result counts. Every single result matters. So I say the the whole team, Rawk on brothers and sisters. :-D

Autumn Storm said...

Jules, glad to hear it for we are loving having you be a part of this team! Happy day ahead. :-)

If one thing only could be highlighted, it would be "Every single result counts. Every single result matters." Sweet dreams when you get that far my lovely, x

Jules said...

Thanks Autumn... all of my days are happy... someone makes sure of that each and every day!

jillie said...

That is FANTASTIC!!!!!! Congrats to you and everyone on the team. Keep up the good work...

Autumn you are wonderful for always posting in this. It's a wonderful cause indeed!

Autumn Storm said...

It's all in the attitude as they say, Jules. :-)

Jillie, thank you, for being enthusiastic and supportive. :-) Hope your Tuesday treats you like a queen.

EBEZP said...

Isn't Jules lucky having someone like that hey?!
How was your Tuesday Autumn, oo tomorrow the first of the days we both work!! Wow!
It's been far too busy for me for a Sunday!!!

Oh yeah seems like a good time to spread the word again doesn't it?
You know when all us Team Bravo wonderful peeps go away to relatives and friends over Christmas and ask to use their computers to check on your E mails etc, what a wonderful opportunity to say 'Let me show you all about this wonderful thing that I do......'

Then next time you see a post like this prepared lovingly by Autumn with persistent regularity you will know that the new team members are down to you!!!!

Enjoy your Tuesday evening!!

Autumn Storm said...

Wonderful idea, Simon, perhaps I need to think about a Christmas challenge, hmm... ;-)

Bells on my toes, as silver bling on trees green, I prepare our brew, with cups for two, off-white, you know the touch, taken from an old hunch from a cottage by the sea, and in my mind, I think of blessing what is mine. :-D

In other word, wake the frail up! We got bidness and G Pop ain't in the mood to suffer COW dung flung. :-D

Autumn Storm said...

(belly aching giggles)

My sincerest apologies to G-pop, but tell him I was dreaming of the Poppet and the arch of the rock, the rush of spring surf and thus I missed the clock, headed over to your turf now, but tell him won't you that only for dreams so vivid would I miss my cue to have coffee for two. :-D

Trée said...

You can make it up to me later. :-)

Autumn Storm said...

I'll take pleasure in it. ;-)

So here's the disadvantage of working weekends - I have to work until Sunday afternoon!! Boo Hoo!
TGI Christmas Friday!!

Autumn Storm said...

Have a wonderful Friday, Simon. :-)

EBEZP said...

I guess it's round about here that most people's Christmas begins!
Have a great pre Christmas weekend Autumn and have the odd thought of the ones that are still at work!!

Autumn Storm said...

I guess so, lots of places still open though, at least I hope so, for though I had no such intention at the beginning of the season, I'm headed off to the shops today to get the last one. Dreading the crowds already, not sure what it's like anywhere else and though people are my friend, Christmas time shopping in London is scandalous. I'm prepared for all sorts, elbows, trolleys running into me, tempers flaring (and not just my own;) and even the full body slam which almost happened once or twice. The trick is to keep moving and to move at high speeds, dodging and dancing and spinning. I'm going to take my inspiration from Muhammed Ali. Wish me luck. Thinking of you, enjoy, wear a hat, happy Saturday.

Trée said...

Congrats to our indefatigable Kiley for busting past 500,000 points. Thank you my dear Doctor of hair red and heart stout. Your contribution has been noted and recognized. :-)

Autumn Storm said...

Kiley, you are an inspiration. Congratulations!!

EBEZP said...

Well it's almost here Autumn, just in case I don't get round again A very Happy Christmas to you and M and all the very best! Have a great time.

Autumn Storm said...

Thank you, Simon, for those sweet wishes. Merry Christmas, have a wonderful time, xo

Trée said...

Congrats to Bobby Bradley, aka ThunderBob, for surpassing 2,000 results returned. Bobby owns his own company "All-4-Fun" and has been a faithful member of both our old team and Team Bravo. Thank you Bobby for keeping the faith. Thank you for making a difference in a world of apathy. You brighten my heart, not with words, but with quiet resolve. All the best to you and your family. Take care my friend.

All are welcome to join our disease fighting team. Help us help scientists find drugs and cures. Give the cause five minutes. :-)

Agnes Mitchell said...

Merry Christmas Autum. Love, peace and hugs to you and yours on this day.

Merry belated Christmas to you and M!
Was intending to come round on Monday with Christmas greetings, but ah well, you know Murphy's Law.
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!

Autumn Storm said...

Murphy can be brutal sometimes, hope in turn you get to celebrate New Year's in style. Thanks Saff, ours was very nice. :-)
