Would you?

Q. If you had the technology to help cure AIDS or Cancer or Muscular Dystrophy, would you use it?

If you have a computer and an internet connection then you do have that technology and can participate in finding cures for the above and other diseases/problems that effect humanity. Furthermore, you could be doing so within 5 short minutes.

Team members,
as per usual, you guys have been crunching away and steadily returning result after result! Although I post these statistics updates quite often, the increase each time is significant. We are now in the top 800 teams in regards to points, no mean feat at all considering our young age and the fact that there are almost 18,000 teams currently registered. This achievement is due to each and every one of you. Thank you!

There are however a couple of members who have been especially notable this week;

Our newest member Annie is already showing that she means to do some serious crunching by starting to move up the scoreboard!

Karen(karen6977) burst through the 200,000 mark!

Justin, one of our quickest climbers, now has points in excess of 300,000!

Trée is well on his way to a seven figure point score!

Over 1 year of runtime has been donated by (Thunder)Bob!

DJB(TotalChaos) and Sherry are both about to hit the grand total of 100,000 points!

Sweetest, another wonderful post. So many of our mates are doing such a wonderful job folding and crunching. I could not be more proud of Bravo. Thank you for taking such an active role in promoting the cause. Sweet dreams. :-)

EBEZP said...

I'm with Trée as ever on this one and extend the thanks to you both for guiding Team Bravo in to the top 800 teams Wooo! Aren't we absolutely amazing!!
If you want to be amazing too and you have been thinking of joining us, now would be an excellent time!!

Autumn hope you had a great Saturday and Sunday is just as good!!

Autumn Storm said...

No time like the present as they say, and it would be so lovely to be able to welcome one or more members to the team, amazing team as you said, Simon, and as you said, Poppet, of those who are there, so many are doing exceptionally well. Thank you both for your advocating and kind comments, your 'idleness' and your wishes. Wishing you in turn a most joyous Sunday. Poppet, have a safe & pleasant journey & sweet dreams in the mean time.

Good Sunday afternoon to you, Autumn Storm ! Happy to be part of the Bravo Team !

Autumn Storm said...

Very happy to have you with us, Annie. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and wishing you a good week ahead. :-)

Keshi said...

Im yet to join CAN YA BELIEVE THAT! Next time Im on my home PC, this wud be my priority. Im so sorry I've been a slacker so far!

Keshi.

Autumn Storm said...

If you want to join, Kesh, we'd love to be able to welcome you to the team. :-) Have a great week ahead!

Trée said...

Keshi, as Autumn said, if you'd like to join the cause, we'd love to have you. Only takes a one-time effort of five minutes and the results your computer sends back to the scientists working on everything from AIDS to cancer to MD could be the 'lottery ticket' for a child ten years from now. How great would that be, to know that you helped find a drug or a cure to a disease that turned the tears of a child to a smile and gave a parent a few more years with the love of their life--and all that is required is five minutes. I suppose this is why I have every computer I can control running the projects 24/7 and have been doing so for almost four years.

Join us Keshi. With the love in your heart, I think you'd be a great addition to the team.

Good Monday morning to you, Autumn Storm ! How are you doing today ?

EBEZP said...

Hope your Monday has been ok and your Monday evening is a good one. Also hope that you have returned to good health and fitness!

No celebrity what are we going to do?! Catch up with Eastenders I think as the barest minimum!!

Autumn Storm said...

With the love in your heart, I think you'd be a great addition to the team. I second that. :-)

Annie, I'm good thanks. I do so love this half an hour after I get home, when Homer, Bart and Lisa keep the litt;'un occupied and I've got a big mug of steaming, aromatic coffee and blogland at my fingertips. :-) Hope your Monday has been treating you very well.

Thanks Simon, I'm still not completely rid of the cough, but then I have this thing about refusing to take medicine part of my philosophy that my body will get rid of what needs to be got rid and all the quicker for not having taken meds. Works most times, just not this time. :-D Hope you've had a fantastic day off whatever you've been up to and something tells me you haven't spent all day lazing about in your jammies. :-D

Justin Thyme said...

Again, all I can say is "WOO HOO!!! GO TEAM GO!!!" And a very very special kudos to our dear Autumn, whose posts like this encourage all of us to do more!!

Autumn Storm said...

J, I keep meaning to ask what kind of super computer it is that you have, on a single machine you have been the highest climber, in short, I want to get me one of those! ;-) Thank you again, sweetie, for joining us and for your encouragement for the team etc here. Love to you, hope you get caught up on a good night's sleep, xoxo

jillie said...

Those are some mighty impressive numbers!

Hope all is well. I am actually doing quite well. Kicking back, watching some old tv shows that I haven't seen in years!

xo

Autumn Storm said...

Happy and relieved to hear that, Jillie! And after all that you have had going on for the last many, many weeks, sometime watching re-runs can't be all that bad. :-D Sweet dreams, xo

EBEZP said...

Glad you are so much better, seems like meds may have not worked so well this time either so you are one up on them still.
Wasn't spent all day lounging about no!
Don't do jammies either!!
Tuesday mmmmm latest I've got up for literally months already doesn't really feel right!!
Have a great day Autumn.

Loving Annie said...

Good Tuesday morning to you, Autumn ! How are you doing today ? Hope that the cough is better...

Left 'special blessings' for you on my blog today - maybe some new people will come sign up for team Bravo !

Loving Annie

Autumn Storm said...

Good morning, Annie, and thank you for that kindness. Fingers crossed, it's one of my very favourite things to welcome in a new member. Annie, if I didn't make that clear before, you are most welcome to ask anyone you think might join, family, friends, colleagues etc.

Thanks, the cough is on it's way outta here. Hope you have a terrific Tuesday, hugs to you!

On my way. :-)

I soo needed to touch base in here today to help me remember some of the good things in the world! Thanks all!! ((BIG GROUP HUG))

EBEZP said...

Wednesday already and another good day! Hope yours has been good Autumn!
Have you seen the frustrated moose pics? They are so funny!
Have a good evening!

Autumn Storm said...

Jules, hope you are doing okay. Hugging tightly, x

Simon, a week is no time at all, sometimes it seems the time that passed between the seven takes only as long as the time between the big seventh wave. Be over to check those pics in just a bit - happy evening to you!

Trée said...

My dear Sweetest, congrats on busting 200,000 points! You are my inspiration.

Autumn Storm said...

Wooohooo! That feels so good! :-D
Thank you, sweetest heart, love and hugs feeling the need to send extras to you, xo

Trée said...

Congrats to Ms Mario for hitting 100,000! This team RAWKS. :-D

And the funny thing is, she doesn't even know it. I set up her computer to run the agent several months ago and she has had nothing to do with it since, doesn't even really think about it running as she goes about her computing business, yet she has returned over 200 results on a rather old computer and it just keeps crunching and folding and making a contribution. That is the beauty of Distributed Computing. :-)

Anyone and Everyone is welcome to join us. Only takes five minutes. If you have questions, ask them here. See you on Bravo. ;-)

Jules said...

oh thank you for the hug, Autumn! I'm fine, I was just having a hard day with Nate (my babe).

Autumn Storm said...

Glad to hear it, Jules, not that you were having a hard day but that it was just that. :-) Hope you're having a brilliant day today to make up for it.

Wooohooo - 100,000 whoops of congratulations to Mrs Mario!!! :-)
To anyone still unsure of whether I/we have been stretching the truth of just how easy it is to join (that one time time donation of 5 minutes) or that running the agent does not interfere with your own use of your computer, the above proves it once again.

EBEZP said...

Yeah Friday!! Oh how easy to forget that I'm at work over the weekend but I don't mind, I just like watching everybody else wind down - right about now!!
Have a great evening Autumn, there's some silly vegetables on Too and thanks for the comments about my baby earlier!!

EBEZP said...

Forgot to congratulate yourself and Miss Mario on Team Bravo milestones and to reinforce what has been said and will continue to be said about the simplicity of joining, the fun we can have and the good work we do just by joining Team Bravo!!
Go on give yourself a Christmas gift, press the buttons invest your spare 5 minutes and get going!!

Autumn Storm said...

Well said, Simon, and thank you. Woohoo, happy Friday! Here's what I was thinking, since Saturday and Sunday seem to go even quicker than the rest of the week, they must do so up your way too, and as such your weekend, aka Monday and Tuesday must roll around very quickly and last longer. ;-) Have a GREAT evening!!

Trée said...

ThunderBob cracks 500,000. Holy Shiott Mother of Janus this team makes me proud. Rawk on righteous brothers and sisters and lean into the wind, for our fight is long and our calling dim in the fading light of indifference.

EBEZP said...

I think you are right there Autumn because the two days that feel like a weekend because they are your weekend do go quicker for me!!
Have a great Saturday Autumn and I hope if you are enjoying it it goes so slowly for you!!

Autumn Storm said...

:-D Poppet, you're making me wish I hadn't overslept. ;-)

Rawk on, Bob, you beautiful man! 500,000 points is a*mazing, congratulations and hide blessings to you!

Autumn Storm said...

:-) Thanks Simon, a happy Saturday to you too!

EBEZP said...

Well it's my weekend now but you know your weekend has gone by so quick. Oh I hope it didn't go that quick for you!
Royal variety on in the background....coming from my wonderful city but not a single 'scouser' on the bill!!
But JB!

Autumn Storm said...

Not a single one, is that a fact - That just doesn't seem right!
Wasn't James good though? Thoroughly enjoyed that performance. :-)

Thanks Simon, hope you're days ahead, the first two and the last five of the week treat you well. :-)
New site looks to be going well btw.

EBEZP said...

JB was good yes!!
Not a single scouser no but I am looking forward to Bon Jovi!! Just hope they are not on while I'm on the phone!!
Bon Jovi or ebezpsentme.......mmm let me think!!!

Autumn Storm said...

I'll take Bon Jovi, I've always wanted to, and you can have a nice conversation with ebzepsentme. :-) So long as he isn't planning on holding out on me for too long that is, I can already hear my mattress crying out in loneliness. Enjoy, either or both, xo

EBEZP said...

There's a couple of things I could say but to show true devotion to both of you.....you can have Jon 'the man' Bon Jovi and I'll warm up the telephone lines just a bit!!!!

EBEZP said...

Just to keep Team Bravo members happy you understand!!

Autumn Storm said...

Of course. :-D

EBEZP said...

My call was great Autumn, how was JBJ? Has he recovered yet?!!
Still singing this hey?!

Autumn Storm said...

And bless his hide for it, did you watch? I've never seen him look so polished. :-)

Jules said...

Sorry, I must interject here... you two are having way too much fun... Boy, am I glad you didn't spend the time watching Bon Jovi, Si...

Autumn Storm said...

:-) Happy Monday, Jules.

EBEZP said...

No Autumn it was one or the other for me! So I guess you know now!!
Happy Monday!

EBEZP said...

Hope your Monday wasn't too tough and that it doesn't affect your evening relaxation. Eastenders?
MMM those Mitchell girls wooo!

That's me decided then!
Have a good evening Autumn.

Autumn Storm said...

Simon, I knew a from that first hint. :-D Thanks, hope you have a good one too. As for Eastenders, I haven't seen it in ages, enjoy the girls so to speak. :-)

EBEZP said...

I'm begining to think I don't do discretion that well!!
Oh wow another good my weekend day! Hope your Tuesday was good. Are you over JBJ yet? X factor final on Saturday I guess JB must be on it? I'll find out for sure and let you know hey? Guess you and M may be watching anyway! At least you can talk about it on Monday!!!

Autumn Storm said...

Simon, you couldn't be any more clear. LOL Glad you had such a good day, bloomin' freezing though, and gosh I know I go on and on about the cold during winter - you weren't here last winter or the two before that so you wouldn't know this about me yet, but just how cold it gets surprises me every year. To tell you the truth, I only caught about 30 seconds of JBJ and yes, I've recovered. Thanks, that would be great, for I'm bound to forget otherwise. Enjoy your last couple of hours, and have a good day back tomorrow. :-)

EBEZP said...

Wednesday was good a lot of the same reasons and a Christmas do thrown in helped!
Have a great Thursday Autumn!

Autumn Storm said...

Ah, the annual Christmas party, almost always the cause of a couple of months of teasing. So did you get up to anything you shouldn't have? ;-)
Thank you, Simon, hope your Thursday is a good one too! Have just been over to congratulate Jules on reaching 50,000 points. :-)

EBEZP said...

She's doing well isn't she. I'm very glad she's crunching for us, in more ways than one!!!
Oh busy couple of days around these parts Autumn and now wow it's your weekend again, now that one was a quick one!!
Have a great weekend Autumn

Autumn Storm said...

Well, between us we have four days of weekend, small wonder they seem to follow each other. :-) Thank you, Simon, same to you. :-)

EBEZP said...

So halfway through our joint weekend and so it's all change Autumn!!
Hope you've had a great weekend and that Monday isn't too bad for you!

Autumn Storm said...

Passing the weekend baton, use it wisely. :-)
Thank you, enjoy!
